WHAT IS FAIR TRADE?
The Fair Trade movement was designed to "fix" the conventional trading system that deprives or disparages workers in developing countries. Buying Fair Trade means that a company chooses to only purchase raw or finished goods grown and cultivated in a way that is socially and environmentally responsible.
Buying Fair Trade products is the most effective way of facilitating supportable development for workers, as it allows better trading conditions and sustainable farming where the producers are guaranteed better, fairer prices and improved working conditions. Fair Trade products must not be produced through forced labor, child labor or in conditions that are disadvantageous to workers. The workers must feel empowered to develop businesses that are competitive and prosperous, not only for themselves, but for future generations.
WHY IS A FAIR TRADE PRODUCT A LITTLE MORE EXPENSIVE?
Paying for Fair Trade products ensures that producers receive fair wages for their efforts, as well as, the cost of sustaining present and future production (protecting the environment). Receiving fair prices for their work, as well as, longer-term contracts, allows workers to enjoy increased security (economically and socially). For producers, Fair Trade guarantees a minimum floor price when global commodity prices decrease, and this prevents farmers and workers from finding themselves in destitute conditions. A Fair Trade Premium, a supplementary amount of money, is also put into communal funds to be used by the workers in a way that they feel is appropriate for enhancing their conditions, financial and environmental, whether through education, health care, the improvement of crop yields, or by buying processing facilities.

Private Label Products, LLC, has always been and continues to pledge to always be cruelty free. We believe that animals should not suffer or die to test ANYTHING! We therefore refuse to source or partner with any business or entity that makes animals suffer for any reason.
1) Private Label Products, LLC, does not conduct or commission, and is not a party to Animal Testing of any cosmetic ingredient, raw material, formulation or finished product.
2) Private Label Products, LLC, does not buy any ingredient, formulation, or product from any supplier or manufacturer that conducts, commissions, or is a party to Animal Testing.
3) Private Label Products, LLC, selects its suppliers based on their animal-testing policies.
4) Private Label Products, LLC, encourages customers who manufacture cosmetics and skin care products to avoid animal-tested ingredients and offer only cruelty-free products to their customers.
